Waiters or Waitresses are responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages to guests. They play an important role in guest satisfaction as they are also responsible for checking on customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to adress any issues.
Your objective: is to manage customer satisfaction and excellent overall experience in our bistro. You will greet customers and offer our menu, answers questions about menu offerings, process food and drink orders, carry food and drinks from kitchen to tables, and prepare bills and process payments.
Responsibilities will include introducing customers to the menu and announcing daily or seasonal menu specials as well as answering questions about menu items, ingredients, and pricing.
You should be able to process cash and credit card payments and return change to customers if necessary.
Daily duties will include setting tables with dishes, glasses, and flatware and refilling condiments, and maintaining a tidy dining area.
You should also be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with your colleagues in the kitchen to make sure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
Maintaining familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information will be expected.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment. They should have proven work experience and hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system. They should be extremely personable and have attentiveness and patience for customers. Flexibility to work in split shifts is needed.
